Our Mission
We’re here to help New Zealand suppliers to flourish sustainably
Our mission is to empower New Zealand suppliers in the FMCG grocery industry.
Our Story
Supplier Collaboration Project (SCP) traces its origins back to the passion and insight of industry veterans who identified a glaring gap in the FMCG market.
Founded by professionals with over a decade of experience working within broker agencies, SCP emerged from the realisation that numerous promising small suppliers were often overlooked due to prohibitive cost overheads and the absence of established brand recognition.
Having been intimately involved in the review process within traditional agencies and constrained by minimum commission targets, the founders discerned an opportunity to create something transformative. In this insight, SCP was born—a vision to build an agency dedicated to the growth of New Zealand suppliers, operating in harmony with them and scaling alongside their successes.
SCP embarked on its journey as a consulting service, leveraging its founders’ profound industry insights and expertise. In the initial year, a pivotal realisation dawned upon the team. They understood that by providing additional services at affordable rates, they could empower these budding brands to not only survive but thrive in the competitive FMCG landscape.
The turning point
The turning point came in December of 2023 when SCP secured its first major client.
This significant milestone propelled the agency into a new phase of growth, enabling the expansion and enhancement of their services. Bolstered by this success, SCP made a commitment to give back to the community that nurtured it. They began a mission to uplift other New Zealand brands, sharing their expertise and resources to help them achieve similar levels of success.
Today, SCP stands as a testament to the power of passion, insight, and collaboration. With a profound understanding of the challenges faced by local suppliers, SCP continues to evolve, empowering brands to overcome obstacles, gain traction within the industry, and achieve sustainable growth. The agency’s journey is a story of transformation, resilience, and the unwavering belief in the potential of New Zealand suppliers.
